Quantum-gain-nonlinearity induced by sublinear bump summation in multi-photon elicited QBs. Here, quantum-gain-nonlinearity is illustrated through multi-photon evoked QBs, which were calculated by using the full Drosophila photoreceptor model, see Song et al. (2012). (A) Bigger QBs are evoked by multi-photon-hits. (B) The quantum gain (QB charge/photons) decreases nonlinearly. QB charge was calculated by integrating QB waveform in (A), and its unit is fC (femto coulomb).
