Evaluation of the zinc transport activity of ZnT2 mutants of Gly-280, Thr-312, or Glu-E355 residues using a viable fluorescent zinc-selective probe, Zinpyr-1. The percent changes of Zinpyr-1 fluorescence were calculated by dividing the fluorescence levels (raw value of medians) obtained in cells cultured in 30 μm ZnSO₄ by that under normal growth conditions.
