Cysteine versus methionine as targets for Tau-NHBr. The reaction mixture was composed of 25 µM dansylglycine, 500 µM Tau-NHBr and increasing concentrations of amino acids in 50 mM phosphate buffer, pH 7.0. The stopped-flow system was set as follows: excitation, 360 nm LED; and emission, 475 nm cut-off filter.
