HEK-293 cells were cotransfected with 1 μg of human VEGF-Luc or 100 ng of mouse Visfatin-Luc reporter plasmid, in the absence or presence of effector vectors for HMGA1 and HIF-1α (1 μg each), either alone or in combination.
