Role for EVs in preparing the metastatic niche in bone. Schematic representation of EVs secreted by primary cancer cells that are transported via the circulation to the endosteal side of the bone marrow. Here, they “educate” the present osteoblasts to prepare a metastatic niche where disseminated cancer cells will attach and grow.
