Suppression of MUC1 by honokiol concomitantly reduces MRP1 expression. MCF-7 (A) and MDA-MB-231 (B) cells were treated with 20 μM honokiol for 24 and 48 h (DMSO was used for the control) prior to cell lysis. Cell lysates were resolved with SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with antibodies recognizing MUC1 and MRP1. β-tubulin was used as a loading control.
