(A) Schematic diagram of APP and sAPP. α-secretase cleaves APP to generate the secreted ectodomain (sAPPα) and membrane bound fragment (C83). (B) The COS7 cells were transfected with NCAM-140 and maintained in the medium containing secreted APP; cell lysates were immunoprecipitated with 6E10 antibody against secreted APP (sAPP) and probed with an anti-NCAM-140 antibody. As a negative control, an irrelevant antibody was included in the experiment (CTRL). The delta denoted antibody heavy chains.
