Changes of liver histomorphology and increased fibrosis in carbon-tetrachloride (CCl4)-treated livers. Hematoxylin-eosin (H&E) staining shows hepatocyte necrosis and immune-cell infiltration of the liver from representative CCl4-treated mice compared to corn oil-treated mice (CON) (scale bar = 50 µm). Sirius red staining in liver sections from representative CON and CCl4-treated mice shows the excessive collagen deposition in CCl4-treated livers (scale bar = 100 µm).
