Internalized MNPs@SiO₂(RITC) induces ROS generation and disturbs cellular polyamine metabolism, but does not induce ER stress-mediated apoptosis in immortalized cell lines. Especially, elevated ROS reduces proteasome activity and induces the formation of cytoplasmic inclusions in neuronal cells.
