Glucose metabolism in brain of control and experimental animals.

Glucose levels tend to be low in the brain of mice with periodontitis. Glucose utilization is significantly lower in these animals compared to controls. Data presented are mean±S.D. Welch’s two-sample t-test. N=9 animals per group. Experimental: oral application of Pg, Control: vehicle alone.
