Gallic acid does not prevent SP-mediated induction of IL-6 secretion. Primary endometrial stromal fibroblasts were incubated in the absence or presence of 1% SP for 6 h in the presence of the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug sulindac or an active concentration of gallic acid, and then culture supernatants were collected for IL-6 quantitation by ELISA.
