Expression of CD40 in mouse and human glioma cell lines. (A) CD40 expression was found in all mouse glioma cell lines. NSCL61 and bRiTs-G3 cells showed relatively higher levels of CD40 expression than GL261 cells. Glioma stem cell markers, MELK, and CD44 were also expressed in these cells. (B) CD40 expression was also found in human glioma cell lines. (C) Cells were examined by immunocytochemistry for CD40 (B: green; C, D: red). Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI (blue). CD40 expression was found at cell membranes. Scale bars, 20 µm.
