(a,e) The model group showed slight BMP-2 immunoreactivity (BMP-2-IR) and OCN immunoreactivity (OCN-IR), and few osteoblasts. (b,f) In the CD group, increased BMP-2-IR, OCN-IR, and number of osteoblasts were observed. (c,g) The DFO group showed intense BMP-2-IR and OCN-IR which was concomitant with the increase in the number of osteoblasts. (d,h) Bar graphs showed the mean optical density of BMP-2 and OCN in bone marrow.
