Exposure of the human HASMCs with Ang II caused AT2R but not AT1R mRNA and proteins level to increase significantly. Human ASMCs were incubated in the absence or presence of 1 µM Ang II for 48 h. The cell lysates were then collected. Levels of AT1R and AT2R protein in cell lysates were respectively measured by RT-PCR and Western blot.
