In vitro collagen production by cultured mouse mesothelial cells induced by treatment with serum autoantibodies was measured using a cell-based ELISA; mouse primary mesothelial cells were plated in 96-well plates, treated for 4 days with pooled serum, and then stained with anti-collagen 1 antibody and HRP-conjugated secondary antibody.
