The role of the immune system in promoting the symmetric and asymmetric division and differentiation of ovarian germ stem cells. a Uncommitted OGSCs(u-OGSCs) were produced in the first six weeks of pregnancy; b Primordial germ cells (PGC) were invaded OGSCs layerin the first seven weeks of pregnancy; c–e OGSCs only the joint action of cell signaling (cellular signaling, CS; as CD14 secreted by MDC and CD8 secreted by T lymphocytes) and hormonal signals (hormonal signaling, HS; chorionic gonadotropin, hCG and estradiol, E2) can occur secondary asymmetric division to produce germ cells, germ cells into secondary ovarian cortex and eventually differentiate into oocytes (definitive oocytes, DO).
