ZEB1 was a downstream functional mediator of miR-101 in OSCC cells. SCC-9 cells were transfected with miR-NC, miR-101 mimic or miR-101 mimic + ZEB1-expressing plasmid. (A) Cell viability was measured by MTT assay. (B) A colony formation assay was performed to assess cell proliferation, and the number of colonies was quantified. (C) Cell cycle distribution was analyzed by flow cytometry. (D) Cell apoptosis was detected by flow cytometry. Nucleosomal fragmentation (E) and caspase-3 activity (F) assays were used to evaluate cell apoptosis. (G) Cell migration was assessed by a wound healing assay, and the percentage of wound width was measured.
