The normalized bias of the (a) ML, (b) LR, and (c) ADC-map approach on estimating the ADC of homogeneous lesions for various values of ADC and SNRb0. The normalized bias is expressed in percentage units. The ADC-map technique was computationally very intensive [9], and thus was executed over a smaller set of ADC and SNR values. The proposed ML approach outperforms the LR and ADC-map approaches, especially at low SNR values.
