The absolute value of the normalized bias of the (a) ML, (b) LR, and (c) ADC-map approach on estimating the ADC of homogeneous lesions for various values of ADC and SNRb0 for b values of 0, 500 and 1000 s/mm2. The normalized bias is expressed in percentage units. The ADC-map technique was executed over a smaller set of ADC and SNR values for computational reasons. The proposed ML approach again outperforms the LR and ADC-map approaches, especially at low SNR values.
