Support Vector Machine flow diagram. The input is the time-series of Google Trend search volumes ${x_{i}}$ . There are multiple options which increase the complexity of the Support Vector Machine and hence decrease its transparency. However, its results and prediction performance are not significantly better than the semi-automated scheme that forms the main portion of this paper and whose results are presented in Figures 1-4.
