There was no statistical difference in the b-waves between the normal retinas (n = 8) and the tm-scAAV2-BDNF-treated retinas (n = 6; p>0.05). The tm-scAAV2-BDNF-treated retinas were significantly protected compared to the no vehicle (n = 8; **p<0.01) and tm-scAAV2-GFP (n = 3; **p<0.01) groups.
