A.-B. The effects of EF24 on the proliferation of human gastric cancer cell lines and normal cell lines. SGC-7901, BGC-823, KATO III, GES-1 or NRK-52E cells were incubated with increasing doses of EF24 (0.625-10 μM) for 24 h respectively. Cell viability was determined by MTT assay. C. Induction of cell cycle arrest in human gastric cancer cells was determined by flow cytometry after treatment with EF24 (2.5, 5.0 or 7.5 μM) for 14 h. Similar results were obtained in three independent experiments. D. Representative histograms from flow cytometry analysis in three human gastric cell lines treated with EF24 (*p < 0.05, **p < 0.01). E. Expression of G2/M cell cycle relative proteins Cdc2, MDM2 and p53 were determined by western blotting after treatment with EF24 for 14 h.
