RNA was isolated from omental adipose tissue biopsies from obese patients (n = 20) undergoing bariatric surgery. Expression of CD40, CD80, and CD86 was assessed by quantitative real-time PCR, and correlation analysis was performed. (A–B) Correlation analysis (Pearson) in the entire cohort (n = 20). (C–D) Correlation analysis of patients with the diagnosis of type 2 diabetes (diabetic; n = 9) and nondiabetic obesity (n = 11).
