(b) Alternative splicing analysis identified variant Calcal of the calcitonin/calcitonin gene-related polypeptide, alpha gene. The expression of Calca_2, the variant encoding calcitonin, was too low to be detected in DRG. The open box indicates that few reads were aligned to the unique exon region of Calca_2.
