Development of weight. Bar graphs show the development of body weight over time in α-GAL deficient (Fabry ko) and wild-type (WT) male (A) and female (B) mice. Male Fabry ko mice were heavier than their WT littermates particularly in older age groups (12–15 months: p < 0.01; ≥18 months: p < 0.05). Young female Fabry ko mice had a lower body weight than WT littermates (p < 0.01) and a higher body weight when older (p < 0.05).
