Quantitative cumulative release of doxorubicin (DOX) from Alg-MA sub-microspheres for 11 days (average ± standard deviation, n = 6 hydrogel samples per group). Various formulations of sub-microspheres were assessed: green photo-crosslinked (Green), green + Ca2+ dual-crosslinked (Green+C), UV photo-crosslinked (UV), UV + Ca2+ dual-crosslinked (UV+C). Sample aliquots were collected and the DOX concentration was determined using a standard curve at an absorption wavelength of 485 nm. (A) Cumulative DOX release profile during the first 8 hours. (B) Cumulative DOX release profile during 11 days.
