Serum sCD74 levels were measured in patients with ARDS (81 patients with Day 1 serum samples and 62 patients with Day 3 serum samples) as well as healthy volunteers (A). Data were presented as median (IQR), **p < 0.01 compared to control. Mann-Whitney U test was used to analyze difference of serum sCD74 levels between Day 1 and Day 3, and survivors and nonsurvivors. The increase in Day 1 and Day 3 serum sCD74 levels were compared to TNF-α (D,G), IL-6 (E,H) and MIF (F,I). Spearman rank correlation was used to analyze the relationship between sCD74 and TNF-α, IL-6 and MIF levels.
