Effects of recipient strain and species on p47e-GFP conjugation frequency on filters. The donor is strain Kpn1760CT_p47eGFP, and recipients are K. pneumoniae (A) or E. coli (B) isolates from patients. Filter matings were performed for 20 h. The conjugation frequency is given by the number of CFU of transconjugants/number of CFU of recipients. Replicon typing was performed as described in Materials and Methods.
