The A2 peptide rescues mice from lethal doses of Stx. Stx2a (7 ng) and peptides (1 μg) were incubated alone or together at 37°C for an hour before injection into mice. Kaplan-Meier survival curves were plotted, with the number of mice per group indicated in parentheses. Statistical analysis was performed using unpaired Student's t test in GraphPad Prism 5.0.
