Functional annotation clustering of neuronal specific differentially expressed genes. Using Functional annotation clustering algorithm in-built in DAVID web resource, seven functional annotation clusters based on GO terms (biological process, molecular function and cellular components) were obtained within neuronal specific differentially expressed genes. Each cluster is significantly enriched with enrichment score cut-off value >1. Within each cluster, all the related gene ontological terms are also separately enriched for the given neuronal specific gene with Ease score value (see Methods) cut-off ≤ 0.05. Note that the most enriched biological process GO terms fall within clusters E and F and are related to specific neuronal functions. No cellular compartment cluster was sufficiently enriched
