DNA design for the mPLA. One PLA template consists of four ssDNAs: a coding connector (CC), a shared connector (SC), and two antibody labels named adaptor strands (ASs). The CC specifically hybridizes to adaptors 1 and 2 on the indicated AS1 and AS4 sequences, respectively. Furthermore, the CC contains a probe sequence in its midsegment. The SC hybridizes to the AS2 and AS3 on adaptors 1 and 2, respectively. The sequences of the three CCs, six adaptors, and SC DNA strands used within this study are given in Table S1.
