Effect of fucoidan on the cell viability of DU-145 cells. DU-145 cells (2 × 10⁴ cells/mL) were treated with 0, 250, 500, 750, 1000 μg/mL fucoidan in RPMI-1640 medium containing 5% FBS for 24 h. The growth inhibition was measured by the MTT assay. Data are mean standard deviation (SD) for three samples. The significance was determined by Student’s t-test (* p < 0.05 compared with untreated control).
