CLDN6 acts as a critical role in suppressing tumorigenesis in breast cancer cells. a MCF-7 cells were mock transfected or transfected with siRNA for CLDN6. Nontargeting siRNA was used as negative control. Total RNA was extracted 48 h after transfection, and CLDN6 mRNA levels were determined using quantitative RT-PCR. b Total protein was extracted 48 h after transfection, and CLDN6 expression at protein levels was determined using western blot assay. c Knockdown of CLDN6 in MCF-7 cells, the migratory abilities of treating with 5-aza-dC group and 5-aza-dC with vector group were significantly reduced than control and 5-aza-dC with CLDN6 RNAi group. d Knockdown of CLDN6 in MCF-7 cells, the invasive abilities of treating with 5-aza-dC group and 5-aza-dC with vector group were significantly reduced than control and 5-aza-dC with CLDN6 RNAi group. *P < 0.05.
