SOD2-expressing ASCs show improved engraftment potential: ex vivo gel plug BLI analysis. Analysis of gel plugs excised at necropsy from one representative animal per group three days after implantation of Cultrex containing 7 × 10⁵ luciferase-positive ASCs expressing either GFP (mock control) or SOD2. Quantification of the BLI signals in the respective selected regions of interest (indicated by the red lines) confirmed improved engraftment of SOD2-expressing cells compared to mock control.
