Behavioral assessment of thermal allodynia following topical application of capsaicin using the thermal probe test. (A) Topical capsaicin (1 mM) caused a significant reduction in the thermal paw withdrawal threshold measured using the thermal probe test, (B) but had no significant effect on mechanical thresholds as measured by electronic von Frey.
