3 Late presentation (aged >2 weeks)
4 Low birth weight (<2500 g)
5 Syndromic diagnosis

GILLS criteria: Gastroesophageal reflux disease, preoperative Intubation, Late surgical intervention, Low birth weight, and Syndromic diagnosis.

More than two criteria correlate with high failure rate of tongue–lip adhesion surgery [27,28]).
