Assessments of sensorimotor functions: purposes. Assessments of sensorimotor functions are needed for several aims [1, 4, 6]: not only assessments are essential in clinical practice to diagnose a disease, to prescribe and to adjust the therapy, but they are also used for management purposes and as feedback for patient and clinician. Lastly, sensitive and reliable assessments are fundamental as outcome measures in clinical trials
