(A) qPCR quantification of transcripts (relative to β-actin) in synchronized whitefly populations reared on tomato plants, collected at the time indicated after emergence; (B) Five- to seven-day-old whiteflies were caged with leaves of TYLCV-infected tomatoes and the amounts of transcripts were estimated by qPCR (relative to β-actin) at the time indicated thereafter. Pools of about 50 insects were used for each time point.
