K_D values were determined at 10 mM Ca²⁺ and 25°C. Each K_D value is an average of at least three independent experiments. ΔΔG values were calculated using the equation ΔΔG = -RTln [K_D (pATSerUG or pATSerUG_GAAA)/K_D(pSu1(-1U)] [40].
