Schematic diagram of experiment schedule. MK-801 (0.1 mg/kg) was administered 20 minutes prior to behavioral testing for a total of 9 days. Following 6 days of treatment with MK-801, either olanzapine (0.05 mg/kg) or haloperidol (0.05 mg/kg) was administered 40 minutes prior to administration of MK-801 for a total of 4 days. Spatial memory performance was measured in a Morris water maze test over 9 days (4 trials/day).
