Enzymatic assays were performed with 0.2 µg recombinant protein in the presence of 20 mM GSH (reduced) or GSSG (oxidized) at 30 °C. Means and SE from two independent experiments are shown. The decrease in activity for ScHAL2+3C by oxidation is significantly greater (a, b; P < 0.005) than that in WT ScHAL2.
