Histological staining of the mice retina after NaIO3 administration. At 24 h post administration, loss of RPE pigmentation was visible (arrowheads); RPE swelling and breaking of RPE monolayer was observed at 48 and 72 h, respectively (arrowheads). Scale bar is 25 μm.
