HMEC-1 cells incubated in the absence or presence of 100 μM Imeglimin for 24 h were digitonin-permeabilized in a KCl respiratory medium supplemented with Amplex Red/HRP. Mitochondria were energized with glutamate/malate, succinate or both substrates (glutamate/malate plus succinate) in order to measure the basal H2O2 production, then 5 μM rotenone and 0.25 μM antimycin A were added. Results are mean±S.E.M. of five different experiments.
P<0.05 versus control, paired Student’s t-test.
