Group sizes for were n  =  5 for WT littermates and n = 6 for Timp-3 KO and Tg mice, except for n = 4 for all groups for BMD. Two-sample t-test was used to compare means between KO and WT_B6, and between Tg and WT_F1. Normality or the homogeneity of variance assumption were not violated (p ≥ 0.05). Data are mean ± SEM.
