Effect of immunosuppressants on the tumor size (A), Ki67 (B), CD31 (C) and TUNEL staining (D) in tumors derived from Huh 7 cells implanted in nude mice. Cells (10x10⁶) were implanted at dorsal level in athymic mice, and 24 hours the treatments were initiated using oral administration following the dosage described in Material and Methods. Animals were sacrificed when one tumor size reached 15 mm. CD31, Ki67 and TUNEL staining were determined by immunohistochemical analysis following the procedures described in Material and Methods. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM. The groups with symbol are statistically different (*p≤0.05, **p≤0.01 and ***p≤0.001) compared with their corresponding control. The groups with different letter (a, b or c) were significantly different (p ≤ 0.05) compared to other groups within the same drug concentration.
