Overview of the proposed prosthesis transforming sensory modalities, called Auditory Foot [1]: (a) entire system of the sensor prosthesis, which consists of four components: (i) a pressure sensor sheet (input), (ii) a microcomputer (data processing), (iii) wireless communication devices (data transport from module I to module II), and (iv) a PC (output). (b) Protocol for transformation from pressure to auditory signals. The position of pressure sensors corresponds to “musical interval” (cf. Do, Mi, So, Do, and Mi) and the magnitude of pressure sensor values corresponds to “audio volumes.”
