Involvement of ANG II type 1 receptors (AT₁Rs) in ANG II-induced IL-6 augmentation in MΦ. MΦ were treated with 1 μM ANG II for 48 h. After the treatment, AT₁R mRNA (A) and protein (B) levels were determined by quantitative real-time RT-PCR and Western blot analysis, respectively. Furthermore, MΦ were pretreated with olmesartan (C) to test if AT₁Rs mediate ANG II-induced IL-6 upregulation.
