Experimental task. Participants were able to choose between two buttons, to maximize reward. Unsuccessful button presses were signaled by a gray circle, while rewarded responses were signaled by a 1000 ms reward stimulus presentation, and the responsible button was highlighted green. After each block of trials, participants rated how causal each button was.
