Histological features. (a) Two separate small papular lesions with hyper- and parakeratosis (haematoxylin and eosin stain, original magnification ×20); (b) adjacent keratinocytes are immunoreactive for adenovirus (antiadenovirus antibody, original magnification ×20); (c) the epidermis surrounding the parakeratotic column shows focal acantholytic dyskeratosis.
