For the patients suffered from facial nerve injury of less than 6 months, increased activation in bilateral postcentral gyrus and bilateral inferior parietal lobe was detected in the eye blinking task results as compared with the healthy control group (A and B) and increased activation in bilateral precuneus lobe was observed in the lip pursing task results as compared with the healthy control group (C and D).
